The items that were received for literacy have made a great impact already. My students have started using the build a sentence center game/materials and have made two of our students start to understand the process of reading. I have also started using the basic sequencing activity for one of my starts who is also a new reader to help him understand the order in which event happen.\r\nMy students were so excited when we opened the boxes, I can't wait to start to reading some of the new reader books to the kids especially the Pete the Cat books and Spot and his Emotions. My students often struggle with understanding and explaining the their feelings so I think using these books will help them begin to understand how to handle their feelings. I am so excited to be able to share all of the materials and help my students succeed. It has transformed our science classroom, particularly during our recent microbiology unit. Previously, cleaning petri dishes and lab equipment was a cumbersome and time-consuming process, limiting the scope and frequency of our experiments. Now, with the dishwasher, we've been able to dive deep into culturing bacteria from various environments, observing growth patterns with unprecedented ease. One memorable moment was watching the sheer excitement on my students' faces as they witnessed the sparkling clean glassware, ready for their next experiment. Their eyes lit up with a renewed sense of scientific curiosity, realizing the professional-level tools at their disposal. The efficiency of the dishwasher has allowed us to focus more on the actual science, fostering hands-on learning and critical thinking.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're building upon our microbiology findings by designing an experiment to test the effectiveness of different cleaning agents on bacterial growth. This project will allow students to apply their newfound skills in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication. We plan to present our findings at the school's science fair, showcasing the real-world applications of microbiology. Your contribution has not only provided us with a valuable resource but has also ignited a passion for scientific inquiry in my students. Thank you for making these enriching experiences possible and for investing in the future of our young scientists.","fullyFundedDate":1734099006539,"projectUrl":"project/portable-dish-washer-for-lab-equipment/8817820/","projectTitle":"Portable Dish Washer for Lab Equipment","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Grant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2250524"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_99064","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1155,"numTeachers":61,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":46,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"18.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.4,"schoolId":99064,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Milford Central Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Milford Central Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/delaware/milford-school-district/milford-central-academy/99064"}
