What started as a creative activity quickly became an opportunity for students to practice empathy, collaboration, and kindness. Students worked thoughtfully to design keychains for classmates, friends, family members, and even staff members who they felt deserved encouragement or appreciation.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was watching students exchange their creations with one another. Many students included handwritten notes or affirmations alongside their keychains, and it was incredible to see how excited and proud they were to spread positivity. Some students who are usually quiet became more engaged during the activity because they felt connected to the project and excited to contribute something meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the classroom was filled with excitement. Students immediately began sharing ideas, sketching designs, and discussing who they wanted to create keychains for. They were amazed to learn that generous donors cared enough to support their creativity and learning experience. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me how important hands-on, meaningful projects are for building confidence and community in the classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, this project has grown into something bigger than a craft activity. Our students are now continuing a classroom kindness initiative by creating additional keychains and positive messages to share throughout campus. We are also connecting the activity to reflective writing assignments where students discuss how small acts of kindness can improve someone's day and strengthen relationships within the school community.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has inspired our students to spread kindness to others. Thank you for helping us create a classroom environment where creativity, compassion, and connection can thrive. Your support truly made a difference, one keychain at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1743785506480,"projectUrl":"project/spreading-kindness-one-keychain-at-a-tim/9230048/","projectTitle":"Spreading Kindness One Keychain at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Salinas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9800069_orig.jpg?crop=1290,1290,x0,y503&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728522995396","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jacobsalinas"},{"teacherId":10170932,"projectId":9578993,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for your support. As I explained how we received the materials, they eagerly gathered around to look through everything. Many of them even volunteered to help organize the supplies and put items away. They kept asking what we would use the materials for and were excited to start using them in our activities.\r\nThe students especially enjoyed working with the new materials during different classroom projects. The whiteboards, in particular, have become part of our daily routine in our ELD class. Students use them to practice their English every day, which has made lessons more interactive and engaging. They are currently preparing for a very important state exam that will help them reclassify, and these materials have been incredibly helpful in supporting their learning and practice.\r\nOverall, I want to say a huge thank you.
