Your support gave students an exciting way to engage with reading. Due to the cold weather in Wyoming, during Read Across America Week, middle schoolers read to elementary students while enjoying the chairs inside. The chairs made reading fun, and we can't wait to use them again once the weather clears. Your contribution has truly made a positive impact on our school community. This flexible seating has positively engaged my students. They are able to better collaborate and focus when they are allowed to choose seating that best fits their needs and learning styles. This has promoted positive movement, and created a more dynamic learning environment. My kids have been so much more engaged in their work. Teamwork has even increased. Flexible seating has helped my classroom move from a traditional setting where everyone sits at a table using chairs. Because my middle school students are developing and their tailbones are beginning to harden, they are able to move and sit more comfortably. I feel with times changing and the nature of our learning, students need non traditional furniture.","fullyFundedDate":1734284790737,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-seating-for-students-with-specia/8930174/","projectTitle":"Sensory Seating for students with special needs in the classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. ANDERSON","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9830637_orig.png?crop=1497,1497,x157,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731089843539","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9830637"},{"teacherId":6830081,"projectId":8501268,"letterContent":"Words cannot express how much my teams have enjoyed having the toolboxes ratcheting wrenches, small vice and parts organizer your donation provided. \r\nI didn't tell them what was in the boxes and just let the teams open them. They were so excited they spent hours sorting and filling the bins with their materials and supplies. One of our most time-consuming problems is locating the screw or bolt you need right then. One team spent several hours going through their shoe box to find a very small screw to hold their robot arm in place. These are wonderful!\r\nIt is so nice to have each team's supplies in one box and available at their fingertips. The sorting of our small screws, nuts, gears and other detail parts makes it easy and less time consuming to get back on the course and compete. The compact size makes it easy to load on the bus and set up quickly when we get to the site. The ratcheting wrench makes assemble and disassemble of our robots quick and painless. We generally have only 7 minutes between rounds and when something breaks, we must fix it fast. The vice is portable and sets up at the tournament site allowing us to add more flexibilities to our repairs. \r\nAgain, THANK you, your donation will touch not only our current robotics class and teams but also teams for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1727114403681,"projectUrl":"project/robotics-on-the-move/8501268/","projectTitle":"Robotics on the Move!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mull","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6830081"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39489","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":117,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":73,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"6.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":38.5,"schoolId":39489,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Midwest School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Midwest School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wyoming/natrona-county-school-district-1/midwest-elementary-school/39489"}
