The students were so excited to help me organize our STEM materials. We created several maker spaces with the supplies that are needed for these projects. \r\n\r\nOrganization has enhanced the learning environment, and has helped reduce distractions and allowed students to focus on learning. The rolling drawer carts, organizing boxes, cardstock and pens were used to label and organize our STEM supplies and now we have them mobile to move as needed around the classroom.\r\n\r\nOrganization is key to a successful environment. The supplies that were purchased are being used to organize the many items necessary to create STEM projects. The use of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in the classroom allows the students to learn about a topic and then use their imagination and various materials to solve a problem, create something new or explore the topic more fully through hands on activities.\r\n\r\nThe students enjoy the flexibility of different seating options in the classroom and it gives them a say in their learning environment. They learn best when they are comfortable and can work together in small pods. It also gives them the opportunity to learn easily from each other. The stools and the seat cushions are easily moved and used throughout the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe students are learning so much about themselves and each other regarding how they contribute to their own learning.
