The students truly enjoyed creating their Expressionism portraits. For many of them, this was their first experience in an art class, and creating portraits can be mentally challenging. Through this project, students discovered that their portraits are as unique as they are.\r\n\r\nThey researched different portrait styles and learned that there is an unlimited range of ideas, techniques, and media that can be used to create meaningful artwork. The watercolor pencils were especially popular and worked beautifully for adding fine details. The liquid watercolors were excellent for larger areas and washes, allowing students to experiment with color and expression.\r\n\r\nWithout your generous support, these students would not have had the opportunity to express themselves in such a meaningful and creative way.
