The literacy-focused resources you helped provide allow students to annotate word problems, highlight key information, and use sentence stems and discussion tools to explain their reasoning. This technology and these materials support students in breaking down complex problems, building academic vocabulary, and engaging in meaningful math conversations, skills that are essential for both math success and overall literacy development.\r\nWhat excites students most is having tools that make their thinking visible and valued. They are eager to use the new resources to collaborate, discuss strategies, and show multiple ways to solve problems. I've noticed students who previously felt unsure about word problems, especially those who benefit from extra support, are more willing to participate because they now have scaffolds that help them organize their thinking. Seeing their confidence grow as they explain ideas using math language has been incredibly powerful.\r\nSeveral students have especially embraced these supports, including those who are developing readers or who have struggled with math anxiety. With clearer structures and engaging tools, they are asking more questions, taking risks, and proudly sharing their reasoning with peers. Your support is helping create a classroom where every student feels capable of being a mathematician and a reader. Thank you for investing in our scholars and for helping us grow confident, thoughtful math thinkers.","fullyFundedDate":1761539618151,"projectUrl":"project/reading-between-the-numbers-growing-mat/9855973/","projectTitle":"Reading Between the Numbers: Growing Math Thinkers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10328586"},{"teacherId":10313949,"projectId":9833371,"letterContent":"We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous support of our classroom. Your donations have made a meaningful and immediate impact on our students' learning environment and daily success. Because of your kindness, we were to provide essential supplies such as Lysol wipes and tissues, which help us maintain a clean, healthy classroom where students can focus on learning. The digital clock and the hall passes have also made a significant difference. It helps students develop time management and stay aware of transitions. Additionally, the laminator machine and paper cutter have allowed us to create durable, hands-on learning materials that can be reused throughout the year. \r\n\r\nThe resources that were provided benefits differentiated instruction. The headphones allow students to access digital learning tools and participate in individualized instruction. The small whiteboard has enhanced our small group instruction time. It allows for interactive lessons and more personalized support. The fidget toys have provided important sensory support for students who benefit from movement and tactile tools to maintain focus and self-regulation during instruction.\r\n\r\nYour generosity directly supports student engagement, comfort, structure, and academic growth each day. We use these resources daily during independent work, small-group discussions, and whole-class instruction. One moment that stands out was during a science lesson that required students to analyze data and explain their thinking. Students who typically struggled to stay seated or attentive were able to remain engaged and complete their work while using the fidgets appropriately.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited and curious. Many immediately shared how the tools helped them feel calmer or more focused. We also spent time establishing clear expectations for responsible use, which empowered students to take ownership of their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThanks to these resources, my students are better prepared to engage in upcoming lessons that require sustained attention, collaboration, and problem-solving. As we continue our current unit, students will use these tools to support focus during independent time, written explanations, and group discussions. Your support has made a meaningful difference in helping my classroom remain an inclusive space where all students can learn and thrive.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the support they need to stay focused, confident, and successful.","fullyFundedDate":1757423352359,"projectUrl":"project/ants-in-my-pants-and-i-need-to-dance/9431630/","projectTitle":"Ants in my Pants, and I need to Dance!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gavin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9993945_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750805893189","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9993945"},{"teacherId":10315027,"projectId":9835813,"letterContent":"My students and I are so incredibly thankful for everything you got us! The pictures I included show just a few of the ways all of the things you provided are being used in our classroom. \r\n\r\nWhen I first talked to my students about the project I created, and the generosity you had they were so excited! They were able to have unrestricted access to pencils (students are always in need of them!), we were able to make more visual aids with the posters, and we were able to start our class rewards with the star jars! These are just a few examples. \r\n\r\nOne of the other main things we are using our resources for is our daily writing and notes. The notebooks that you were able to provide allow the students to work and take their notes all in one place, and while they are working in groups with their groups they use them to keep track of their work! \r\n\r\nAs we continue with the year, I can't wait to continue using these materials.
