The children have already begun using the resources you bought for our light table. The marble run is a huge hit. They work so hard building and designing their runs. Some look at example pictures and try to build it like the pictures, while others just go for it and come up with their own awesome design. It is fun to watch their faces light up when the marble goes where they thought it would and even when it doesn't!\r\n\r\nThe new sorting/patterning trays are fantastic for them. They worked on sorting Christmas acrylic pieces and then patterned them on the tray. It is so much fun to work on preschool skills at the light table. Some of the children who don't normally show an interest in participating in some of the preschool skills activities find themselves at the light table doing what they normally wouldn't do at a table activity.\r\n\r\nWe will continue to use our new light table resources as the weeks progress. Next week when we come back from Christmas break I will introduce the winter animals magnatiles on the light table. They will be able to build caves and shelters for the winter animals that we will be learning about!\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your very generous donations!","fullyFundedDate":1733320962120,"projectUrl":"project/illuminating-young-minds/8892174/","projectTitle":"Illuminating Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Turner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8811458_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y322&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1669775431270","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8811458"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_101331","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":76,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.0,"schoolId":101331,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cedar Street Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cedar Street Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/paw-paw-public-school-district/michigan-avenue-academy/101331"}
