Because of your generosity, our classroom has become a fun and safe space where our scholars can express themselves through art, design, and creativity. When we moved into our new school building at the beginning of the year, many of our students were seeing the Maker Studio for the very first time. Their faces truly lit up as they walked in and saw a space designed just for making, imagining, and learning. The donated materials have been incredibly helpful in organizing our classroom by color-coordinating areas, which supports classroom management and allows students to easily find the tools they need. They have also helped tremendously with lesson preparation, poster-making, and the creation of visual guides to help our scholars stay engaged in their projects.\r\n\r\nThis support was especially meaningful during our transition into the new building. Our Maker Studio previously lacked its own classroom and furniture, so your donations helped us establish a functional, welcoming creative environment from the ground up. The students immediately embraced the space and were excited to begin working.\r\n\r\nRight now, our scholars are exploring art and storytelling through projects inspired by artists such as Bisa Butler, Jacob Lawrence, Reggie Laurent, and Keith Haring. Through these lessons, students are learning how artists use color, pattern, and symbolism to communicate ideas about culture, community, and identity. As we move forward, students will continue developing their pieces while reflecting on how their own stories and experiences can be expressed through art. Your generosity is helping nurture creativity, confidence, and curiosity in our young makers, and we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1765384770151,"projectUrl":"project/making-space-for-young-makers/9873373/","projectTitle":"Making Space for Young Makers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Glover","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5354344_orig.jpg?crop=1365,1365,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725229817360","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5354344"},{"teacherId":10254972,"projectId":9706427,"letterContent":"First and foremost, on behalf of my students and myself, I would like to sincerely thank you for providing us with the opportunity to access these valuable resources and for considering us in your decision-making process. We are truly grateful for your support and generosity.\r\n\r\nThe students have been using the voice recorders to build confidence by listening to themselves speak, which allows them to identify areas for improvement and further develop their communication and public speaking skills.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the students have found both the voice recorders and the workbooks engaging, user-friendly, and effective. Being able to hear themselves has significantly supported their pronunciation and fluency through repetition and self-reflection. They appreciate having a reliable tool that enhances their learning experience. The topics presented in the workbook are clear and accessible, making new concepts easier to understand. Students have also shared that after learning a topic, they frequently return to the workbook as a resource for review and reinforcement.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your continued support and investment in our students' growth and success. My English Language Learners absolutely love coming to class. They are always willing to learn, and their enthusiasm keeps me motivated to be the best provider I can be.\r\n\r\nOur beautiful, new Fire Tablets enable us to have a multi-faceted learning experience. English Language instruction encompasses the 4 domains of language: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. It can be very rigorous learning for some students. Having the Fire Tablets allows me to tap into their individual learning styles. Some students stay quiet until they are more confident with their speaking. The Fire tablets enable them to explore on their own. They seem to forget their reticence when they want to share something that they have done or discovered. Other students enjoy being creative with their digital work, often responding more to writing prompts than they would if writing with a pencil and paper. Their motivation is palpable!\r\n\r\nThese new Fire Tablets allow us to use our curriculum's digital components, which means they can do independent learning games and challenges that reinforce what we have learned during our discussions and workbook assignments. I can also assess my students and collect data in real-time, which helps me plan for more effective instruction. The best thing about having this technology is observing how the students take their work seriously, they are having fun, and not even realizing that they are working.\r\n\r\nPlease appreciate that my students know that their Fire Tablets were a GIFT from people who care about them. My hope is that they will remember your generosity and pay it forward as they grow and enter their place in the world!","fullyFundedDate":1759463126637,"projectUrl":"project/learning-is-wonders-ful/9416201/","projectTitle":"Learning is WONDERS-ful!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Curley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9539043_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726421597894","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-curley-macs"},{"teacherId":5354344,"projectId":9053404,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our \"Passport to Creativity\" project exceeded all expectations.
