This year, we started a new literacy intervention program that engages readers by having them read out loud. With 15+ students in a room, this can get a bit noisy! Reading out loud also often causes feelings of anxiety to build up in young students, especially those who struggle with reading. \r\n\r\nYour donation went towards purchasing high quality headphones that have a built in microphone. These microphones are able to record students reading even at a low volume, allowing students who are less confident in their reading to read quietly while still participating in the activity. The headphones also give students a confidence boost.
