We have a special library to put the books in so they can be protected. We are looking forward to putting them in our library and enjoy reading them with our friends.\r\nWhen we had the books delivered, we looked at them in our classroom. The illustrations are amazing, and many books are songs or nursery rhymes. The children also discovered the books that are wordless which allow us to create our own stories. \r\nLiteracy is an important aspect of learning in school. We utilized the large tree stumps inside our classroom and in our motor room because we received them in the middle of winter. These tree stumps have been a great place for practicing our large motor and balancing skills. We also added them for part of an obstacle course. They are often used as chairs while the children play. \r\nThe sand toys have made it to our play yard not that most of our snow is gone. The children utilize our sand toys in the sand box and will soon be able to travel to our dirt garden to look for worms!\r\nOur alphabet stones have been helping us learn our lowercase letters. We can use many different resources to build the letters. Currently they are in our play dough area for building the letters while creating with play dough.\r\nThese materials have added so much fun and excitement to our play. They have added great learning opportunities that will continue for years to come. Thank you for encouraging these little learners to keep moving and enjoying school by supporting this project.
