Believe it or not, this was the first time most of our students had ever played with a soccer ball. All students were welcome to join the team.\r\n\r\nStudents who may not have gotten along in other situations have worked through their differences and learned to work together as a team. It has truly been a beautiful thing to see!\r\n\r\nIn our first game, we lost 10–0, and in our second, 4–0, a great improvement! In our next game, we are hoping to score. They have been looking forward to painting all semester.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, the students were able to experiment with various painting techniques earlier in the week. After they developed their painting techniques, we moved on to studying LIDAR maps in order to create abstract landscape paintings. My students were beyond excited when they first saw the new whiteboards and markers. They couldn't wait to start using them, and we immediately put them to use during our vocabulary review. It was amazing to see how something as simple as whiteboards could bring so much energy and engagement into our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the boards regularly during lessons, especially for vocabulary practice. One of my favorite moments was during a team review game, students were eagerly racing to write the correct word or definition on their boards and hold them up. They're very competitive and love sharing their answers with the class. This excitement also encourages them to double-check their spelling and accuracy before writing anything down, which has helped improve their attention to detail.
