From the first day together, my little Kinder students were able to make delightful crafts to introduce themselves to each other and our school community. \r\n\r\nAlso, having the right materials allowed me to prepare beautiful bulletin boards to welcome students into their new classroom home. The students were excited to showcase their work on the bright beautiful walls. \r\n\r\nThe whiteboard markers have been such a hit. The students have been so excited to use their markers to practice lines, letter formation, and high frequency words. One student even commented, \"This is so much fun!\".\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your kind consideration and generosity. I am excited to offer the students great learning opportunities throughout the year with the support of the materials I was able to provide from this project.\r\n\r\nMy teaching will include a daily mindfulness practice. Many of the materials included in this project are used to target teaching students to self regulate, be self aware, and develop self compassion. As a teacher, it is always abundantly clear that if students struggle with managing stress and anxiety, they often struggle with focus, attention, and handling challenges.\r\n\r\nWe have an established routine in which we have at least one mindful moment every day. There are days when it is guided, and I use breathing cards and inspiration cards, and there are other days when the students choose a mindful item or resource to use for calming and focus. It has helped the students transition and focus their energy and minds. In a classroom in which most of the students have significant attention deficits, the effect is immediate and lasting. \r\n\r\nThank you to each person who has made a positive contribution to my classroom. My students have so many champions behind the scenes in each of you. Thank you for investing in my students and me. You have made my students' educational experience better by funding this project.
