When the students first saw that they were going to crochet, they were excited and kept asking when they were going to begin. Students were satisfied with the end product.\r\nSome students started an after school Crocheting Club in their Think Together after school class. Your support has made a big difference in how we learn about the human body and its many systems.\r\n\r\nWith this model, we were able to see and explore the organs and structures up close. It helped us truly understand how the body works—from how the lungs help us breathe to how the heart pumps blood throughout our body. Post Covid most students are silent throughout the school day during class. Very few offer their opinions or even raise their hands to respond. They are extremely guarded and introverted.\r\n\r\nThese donated white boards have allowed all to share their thoughts via the use of the white board. I ask open ended questions and all will respond with a white board. It has lowered their stress and anxiety since they feel less pressure to be correct.\r\n\r\nLastly, the social awareness of my 6th graders is enormous. That all magnify every little interaction and action. They never want to look a certain way to their peers and this stifles their creativity and voice.
