Some of the students had never used Legos or magnetic building blocks. They have been able to use their engineering skills and creativity to build amazing structures. My students have gained a sense of pride and new found confidence with their abilities to plan and create with all the new legos, robotic kits, magnetic tiles, and kinetic sand. \r\n\r\nStudents have also been able to use our new STEM materials for Fun Friday and Inside Recess. Students look forward with excitement with their engaging, hand-on manipulatives. There are so many ways the students can use our STEM materials and many more projects to create and build. The technology has helped students write creatively and also journal the seasons of the year. \r\n\r\nThe new cameras in the classroom has been exciting for the students to use. For one it is teaching the student's how to take a picture to capture the beauty of in this case trees. The students also got excited to be able to see them print right away. This has also helped their leaning of inventions of cameras and how they continue to evolve.\r\n\r\nTwo students in my classroom have been very excited on the cameras that they have asked if they can take them home so can journal the flowers they have at their house. The cameras have allowed the students to extend their learning beyond the classroom and into their home life.
