One special moment that stands out was during a particularly challenging week—students who met their PBIS goals were invited to enjoy a hot chocolate break. The smiles, relaxed conversations, and sense of pride in earning that reward made it clear how meaningful this simple experience was for them.\r\n\r\nThe students were beyond excited! Their faces lit up when they saw the hot chocolate and snacks, and many immediately asked what they could do to earn them. More than anything, they felt recognized and appreciated, which boosted morale and motivation right away.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these resources will continue to support our PBIS lessons focused on goal-setting, self-regulation, and positive decision-making. As students work on improving behavior, attendance, and effort, they'll earn opportunities to enjoy these rewards while reflecting on their growth. Thanks to our donors, we're able to create a welcoming environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and motivated to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1768642914034,"projectUrl":"project/sip-snack-succeed-pbis-rewards-that-m/10023528/","projectTitle":"Sip, Snack, Succeed! There is something about seeing a fresh stock of supplies—especially the raffle tickets and treats—that makes the classroom feel like a special place to be. As soon as they saw the Dum Dums and fruit snacks, the conversation immediately shifted to how they could earn tickets through hard work and helping their peers.\r\n\r\nWe have already integrated these resources into our daily routine. We held our first raffle; the energy in the room was high, and it was a great way to end the week on a positive note. The laminating sheets are currently being used to protect our classroom reference posters so they can withstand daily use for the rest of the school year.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to start reading a new class novel, where we'll continue using the raffle system to reinforce the expectations during reading time. Students love coming up to the board to share their thinking, and it's made our discussions much more interactive and collaborative.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the new bookshelves has completely transformed our reading corner. Students have been helping organize our classroom library, taking pride in labeling genres and recommending books to one another. They're especially excited about the rotating bookshelf, which will soon hold a brand-new collection of young adult novels — they keep asking when the new books will arrive! Many have already started making wish lists of titles they hope to read and can't wait to dive into.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will be launching independent reading projects, where they'll choose books that interest them, set reading goals, and create reflections and book talks to share with their peers.
