This area is already making a meaningful difference by giving students the tools they need to regulate their feelings and return to learning with confidence. Your support has helped create an environment where emotional well-being is valued just as much as academic growth.\r\n\r\nThe calming corner has empowered students to recognize their emotions and practice healthy coping strategies, such as deep breathing, sensory breaks, or quiet reflection. I've seen students take ownership of their feelings and rejoin class activities more focused, calm, and ready to learn. These moments may seem small, but they have a lasting impact on students' ability to manage stress and build resilience.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and believing in the importance of social-emotional learning. The excitement and curiosity this project sparked carried over into their reading, writing, and discussions, helping them make deeper connections across subjects.\r\n\r\nBecause of the resources provided, I was also able to purchase project-based learning materials that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on exploration. These materials gave me the ability to design lessons where students could experiment, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning in ways that would not have been possible otherwise.\r\n\r\nI am especially grateful to General Motors for supporting this project.
