This helps their little bodies to feel safe. The bean bag chairs make this a much more comfortable experience. After a brief five minutes, they are calmer and then they are ready to learn. This had been extremely effective in increasing work completion and regulated emotions. \r\nWhen my students first saw the calming corner they couldn't wait to cuddle the weighted stuffed animals and utilize the fidget toys. We reviewed the purpose of the calming corner and when it would be an appropriate time to use it.
