It has truly made a significant impact in our 4th grade classroom, and I wanted to share with you how it has enhanced our learning environment.\r\n\r\nOne of the primary ways the gift card has benefited our students is by enabling us to integrate more variety and creativity into our lessons. With your donation, I was able to purchase a variety of interactive digital resources that have opened up new avenues for students to engage with the material in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part about these resources is how they seamlessly blend technology with the curriculum. These resources not only align with the state standards, but they also provide immediate feedback, which has been a game-changer for fostering independent learning. The visual and interactive elements have captured the students' attention in ways traditional worksheets simply couldn't.\r\n\r\nWhat's been particularly thrilling is seeing how engaged my students are. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for making this possible. Thanks to your donations, our 4th-grade class now has access to standing desks—and the difference has been remarkable.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw the standing desks set up, their eyes lit up with excitement. \"We get to stand while working?\" one student asked with amazement. Another said, \"This is going to help me think better!\" It was a moment of pure joy and curiosity, and it set a positive tone for our classroom environment from the very beginning.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the standing desks in a variety of ways. During writing workshops, students choose whether they want to sit or stand while drafting their stories, which has led to increased focus and engagement. One specific moment that stands out was during our recent science project on ecosystems. Students moved freely between stations, taking notes and observations while standing. The ability to move around and stretch helped maintain their energy and creativity throughout the activity.\r\n\r\nThe standing desks have also supported students who struggle with attention or restlessness, offering them a productive way to stay engaged without disrupting the class. It's truly transformed how we learn together.\r\n\r\nCurrently, our class is working on a persuasive writing unit. Students are drafting letters about causes they care about, and they're using the standing desks during peer review sessions to walk around, exchange feedback, and revise their work actively. The next step in this project is publishing their letters and delivering them to school leaders or community members. The confidence they're building—both in movement and in voice—is incredible.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and investment in our learning. Your support is helping shape a flexible, inclusive, and energized learning space where every student feels empowered to do their best.","fullyFundedDate":1742768117619,"projectUrl":"project/give-learning-a-standing-ovation/8945595/","projectTitle":"Give Learning a Standing Ovation","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. OConnor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp786348_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1479179637850","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mroco"},{"teacherId":9094815,"projectId":8839679,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of stickers, Smencils, and candy through the \"Let's Celebrate Positive Behavior in a Dual-Language Environment!\" initiative.
