We used to lay art projects out all over the floor and hope they didn't get stepped on. Now we can put projects in the rack to dry and tuck them safely out of the way. We have also used it for handing in daily assignments and interactive notebooks that require glue so they don't get stuck together and torn. This is a plus for my students and so helpful when I'm grading. No more peeling pages apart!\r\nMobility is another great benefit of this draying rack. We can wheel it down to the art room and wheel it right back to our class full of finished projects. The art teacher appreciates this, since she deals with projects for the whole school. Students enjoy having a turn to push it down the hallway, or pull it out to use in the classroom. It can also be moved around the classroom as needed to meet the demands of moving projects as little as possible to minimize damage and shifting or pieces.\r\nWe have used our drying rack for several projects already and plan to use it for many more this year. We made mummies to celebrate Red Ribbon Week and being Drug Free. We also dried our firefighter \"self-portraits,\" and a Mr. Whiskers project based on a favorite Thanksgiving book. We will soon be using it to dry snowmen and Christmas projects, including ornaments to gift to parents. Later in the school year we will be creating landform projects, as well as creations for our local Welsh festival and Grandparent's Day.\r\nThank you so much for your help in acquiring this wonderful new tool for our class!","fullyFundedDate":1742574495262,"projectUrl":"project/elevating-art-endeavors/9187630/","projectTitle":"Elevating Art Endeavors","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4481132_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1497159192160","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4481132"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_52673","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":390,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":92,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"19.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":57.4,"schoolId":52673,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Malad Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Malad Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/idaho/oneida-school-district/malad-elementary-school/52673"}
