Your support has made a tremendous difference in providing meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities for my self-contained special education students. Because of your kindness, we now have access to manipulatives and materials that help bring abstract concepts to life in ways that are accessible and engaging for every learner.\r\n\r\nThese resources have had a profound impact on my students with learning disabilities. Many of them benefit from tactile, visual, and interactive experiences, and the new manipulatives have allowed them to approach challenging skills with confidence and excitement. I've seen students who once hesitated to participate now eagerly explore activities, collaborate with peers, and celebrate their progress. Their sense of independence and pride has grown, and that growth is directly tied to the tools your donations provided.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students and investing in their success. Your generosity does more than fill our classroom—it fuels opportunities, builds confidence, and creates a learning environment where every student feels capable and valued. We are truly grateful for your support and the lasting difference it has made.","fullyFundedDate":1759437728661,"projectUrl":"project/picasso-starts-here/9724516/","projectTitle":"Picasso Starts Here!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pruett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9172438_orig.jpg?crop=1240,1240,x0,y607&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693333747620","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9172438"},{"teacherId":8690034,"projectId":9277348,"letterContent":"Thank You for Supporting Our Money Skills Project!\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, our special education classroom has been transformed into a hands-on learning space for real-world money skills. The new resources—including a real cash register, play registers, fake money, educational games, and detailed lesson plans—have made financial literacy come alive for our students in a way that's both meaningful and fun.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the new materials:\r\nWe set up a classroom \"store\" where students take turns being cashiers, customers, and even store managers. They practice counting money, making change, reading price tags, and handling simple transactions—all skills that support their independence in the real world. One highlight so far was a class project where students created their own mini-businesses and \"sold\" goods to each other using the registers and play money. It was incredible to watch them apply their learning in such a creative, confidence-boosting way!\r\n\r\nStudent reactions:\r\nThe moment we introduced the real cash register, our classroom lit up with excitement. Several students were fascinated by the sounds, buttons, and real working drawer. They couldn't wait to try it out! One student said, \"I feel like I'm working at a real store!\" That sense of ownership and pride has been a powerful motivator for them.","fullyFundedDate":1745846906460,"projectUrl":"project/money-life-skills/9277348/","projectTitle":"Money Life Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morgan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8690034_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x766,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1662750415243","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8690034"},{"teacherId":9428734,"projectId":8906164,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom get art supplies. They are very creative, and it is fun to see what they create. \r\n\r\nMy initial need for the art supplies was for holidays around the world, and they had so much fun doing that, but the art supplies will also help with upcoming projects, as well.
