Multi-sensory learning has been incredibly impactful—these tools make lessons more meaningful and accessible for all learners.\r\n One of our favorite activities has been using the Pop-Its to count and to stretch out sounds when spelling new words. We also used the Etch A Sketch boards to practice forming letters and numbers. The organizational trays have made center rotations run much more smoothly, helping students stay focused and independent during small-group learning time.\r\n The kids were so excited when the boxes arrived! They could hardly wait to open them and were anxiously watching for each new package. Their enthusiasm filled the whole classroom.\r\n We will continue using the Pop-Its, spelling booklets, and magnetic phonemic awareness games to support our curriculum and strengthen foundational literacy skills. Looking ahead, I hope to create another project this spring centered around life cycles, such as raising caterpillars into butterflies and possibly starting a small classroom garden to extend our science learning.","fullyFundedDate":1756925306036,"projectUrl":"project/embracing-learning-through-play/9521403/","projectTitle":"Embracing Learning Through Play!!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10103893_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754075662622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10103893"},{"teacherId":7037819,"projectId":9211095,"letterContent":"We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible generosity demonstrated by our wonderful donors. This not only fosters a sense of pride in maintaining a clean and orderly classroom but also instills a greater sense of purpose in their behaviors. They are motivated not just by the immediate rewards of good behavior, but by the long-term goals they are working diligently to achieve—goals that they take immense pride in accomplishing.\r\n\r\nOur \"Star of the Week\" particularly enjoys using the bouncy ball chair each day, as it provides a fun and dynamic way to engage in their learning. Additionally, our more energetic students have the opportunity to bounce on a second ball stool, helping them channel their energy in a productive manner.\r\n\r\nAt the end of each day, students eagerly use the vacuum and brooms to keep our classroom clean, taking pride in caring for their learning environment. It is heartwarming to witness how they embrace this responsibility, reinforcing the values of teamwork and respect for their school.\r\n\r\nMoreover, we are thrilled to share that multiple students are recognized each week for their exemplary behavior, allowing them to earn prizes that have been generously donated through our wish list. This not only reinforces positive actions but also provides tangible rewards for their hard work.\r\n\r\nThe opportunities our students are receiving to self-regulate in a safe and clean space are invaluable, and we acknowledge that none of this would have been possible without your support. Your contributions have made a lasting difference in their educational journey, and for that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
