Now, when we watch videos, simulations, and interactive lessons, the full audio-visual experience captivates their attention and makes complex concepts much clearer and more memorable.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most about these new speakers is how the lessons come alive with sound effects, explanations, and demonstrations. They often tell me how much more fun and immersive the lessons feel when they can hear everything as well as see it. This has sparked their curiosity and inspired them to dive deeper into the science and technology topics we explore.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, our classroom is a richer, more engaging place where every student can experience the full power of STEM education through both sight and sound. One of our favorite projects so far has been designing and creating custom vinyl decals and inspirational quote posters for student lockers and hallways. Each student chose a quote that reflected a strength from the program—such as \"Family Support\" or \"Positive Friends\"—and used the Cricut to turn their message into a visually impactful piece that could uplift others around campus. This gave our students a tangible way to express their strengths and spread positivity throughout the school.\r\n\r\nTheir eyes lit up with excitement! Most had heard of a Cricut but had never had the chance to use one themselves. The idea that they could turn their ideas into professional-looking designs was empowering. One student said, \"Wait—we get to make real stuff with this?\" They immediately started brainstorming creative ways to support our outreach goals and got hands-on with the materials right away.\r\n\r\nNext, our students are planning a campus-wide mental health awareness campaign. They'll use the Cricut to create custom stickers, banners, and gratitude cards that tie into the core values of Sources of Strength. We are also currently collaborating with our high school student Source of Strength group to build a stronger, more connected school community by hosting a fun run!
