Students really love to paint, and the additional supplies helped to make our projects a lot more hands on and interesting. No matter the subject matter, practicing painting skills builds confidence and allows for self expression.\r\n\r\nStudents learned the basic painting techniques, and then had the ability to express themselves by choosing their own subject matter. We've done several projects where students chose a reference photo and created an underdrawing followed by their painting. They learned how to mix colors, various techniques with different types of brushes, and even more abstract techniques such as action painting.
