This has definitely transformed our reading environment. These texts have opened up a world of stories and ideas, helping our students continue to cultivate a genuine love for reading.\r\n\r\nTwice a week, during our Dyslexia Therapy lessons—fondly referred to as B-Days—we review our decoding strategies and practice fluency, with a focus on rate and accuracy. We also explore comprehension in depth, analyzing the who, what, where, when, how, and why of the stories we read to enhance our understanding.\r\n\r\nReading has become a joyful and collaborative experience in our small group sessions. The excitement in the room when it's time for B-Days is incredible; students eagerly gather their books and materials, thrilled to share their thoughts and reflections on the stories we explored. Witnessing their enthusiasm as they venture into new genres and styles is a delight. Many have asked if it's a B-Day and whether we'll be reading that day—moments like these fill me with joy, especially knowing that many of them once struggled with reading but are now flourishing.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for believing in our students and investing in their future.
