Your support has made such a meaningful difference for my students.\r\n\r\nThe ant farm has been an absolute hit! The kids gather around it every day, completely fascinated as they watch the ants tunnel and work together. It's sparked so many wonderful questions and conversations about teamwork, ecosystems, and animal behavior. I've seen students who rarely participate suddenly become the class experts on ant colonies.\r\n\r\nAll of the other supplies you provided have been equally transformative. We've been able to do hands-on experiments and investigations that simply wouldn't have been possible before. There's nothing quite like seeing a child's eyes light up when they make a discovery themselves.\r\n\r\nYour investment in our classroom is an investment in these students' futures. You've helped ignite curiosity and wonder that will stay with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1760484865115,"projectUrl":"project/lab-life-bringing-science-to-the-classr/9725022/","projectTitle":"Lab Life: Bringing Science to the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Collier","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4195934"},{"teacherId":4195934,"projectId":9724271,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for donating to my project. Your donation has made a significant and positive impact on the learning environment in my classroom. These additions not only enhanced the physical space but also improved student engagement, comfort, and collaboration.\r\n\r\nThe stools provide a much-needed flexible seating options, allowing students to take ownership of their learning by choosing where and how they work best. This flexibility encourages movement, supports different learning styles, and helps students stay more focused and engaged during lessons. Many students gravitate toward the stools for independent work or group tasks, and the novelty and comfort of the seating contributed to a more positive attitude toward classroom activities.\r\n\r\nThe rug transformed a portion of the room into a warm, inviting space that quickly became a hub for shared learning experiences. It is used daily for morning meetings, read-alouds, small group discussions, and partner work. \r\n\r\n\r\nTogether, the donated stools and rug play an important role in fostering a student-centered environment. They support both academic and social-emotional learning by making the room more inclusive, engaging, and responsive to students' needs. The carpet created a welcoming space where we could all come together for discussions, read-alouds, and partner activities. The stools gave students a sense of choice and ownership—they loved having a special place to gather in smaller groups. Their reactions showed me just how much they value flexible spaces that make learning feel more comfortable and engaging.\r\n\r\nWe've already used both areas for collaborative projects. On the carpet, students worked in pairs to solve math word problems using whiteboards, sharing strategies and checking each other's work. At the back table with the stools, small groups collaborated on a science experiment about how the Earth rotates and revolves, taking notes together and discussing observations. These moments showed how both spaces encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and communication.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources to support ongoing lessons. In math, students will use the carpet for \"turn and talk\" problem-solving sessions, while the back table will serve as a space for project-based activities and peer tutoring. My goal is for students to see both areas as collaboration hubs where they can learn from one another and share ideas","fullyFundedDate":1755739038440,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-classroom/9494686/","projectTitle":"Cozy Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9682027_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753305926108","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9682027"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44704","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":714,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":26,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.6,"schoolId":44704,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Littlewood Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Littlewood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/alachua-county-school-district/littlewood-elementary-school/44704"}
