Thanks to your generous contribution, our students were able to learn through our unit in a variety of ways: read alouds, dramatic play/costumes, art projects, math problems, and vocabulary building.\r\n\r\nWhen the unit was introduced, students were intrigued by the pictures and books that were shown. As the unit went on and students dove in deeper to the topics, their learning really took off. They were asking about the new story each day and when they'd get to visit the dramatic play center again to dress up as an Astronaut.\r\n\r\nIt can be difficult to make learning fun and engaging for our youngest learners but whenever we're able to provide them with a variety of resources on a certain topic, they get hooked and are wanting more! Thank you for igniting this spark and love for learning in our students.","fullyFundedDate":1757611502968,"projectUrl":"project/1-2-3-blast-off-our-journey-learning/9677586/","projectTitle":"1, 2, 3 BLAST OFF! During our whole group lessons, students have participated in the read alouds that contained books you generously helped us purchase. These read alouds are focused on helping students learn early reading routines such as vocabulary, comprehension, having an opinion about the text, and helping teachers to create writing responses after the read aloud as well.\r\n\r\nThis unit also helped our students to explore different career paths and learn more about being kind in addition to family and friends. Often times when children are told to be kind, they think that means being nice to someone-not necessarily something. Our children had daily opportunities to participate in the dramatic play center in which they were pretending to be veterinarians and also work at animal shelters helping sick animals.\r\n\r\nOur reading block has become more engaging and expanding the horizons of our students through a world of opportunities that they didn't no existed. \r\n\r\nThank you for being so generous by helping to enhance the learning experiences of our children.
