Unfortunately, we never received the printer for the Picture System and the computer showed that it was no longer available. However, we did receive the art paper and we were able to implement art and reading together as students drew pictures of the story that they read. They were able to retell the story through art by drawing a picture of the story through sequencing and retelling the story.\r\n\r\nOnce we grade the stories the details that were missing from the story were retold and implemented into the storybook in the correct sequence. The students who were kinesthetic, tactile learners or physical learners benefitted the most. Other students who were audio or visual learners accessed information via the text through audio listening, and visualizing in their mind what happened in the story. \r\n\r\nThe visual learners weighted heavier on the pictures that they can access through the picture walk, which they are able to access at the beginning of the story via predictions of what might happen in the story by looking at the pictures. Examples of questions from the story are about how can I retell the story by looking at the pictures. Another question might be what happened first, next, next and then finally.","fullyFundedDate":1738955588087,"projectUrl":"project/autism-students-with-venn-diagrams-and-p/9021779/","projectTitle":"Autism Students With Venn Diagrams and Picture Systems for Communications!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. D.
