My four and five-year-old students were able to learn about their cultures, their preferences, and the science of baking with this unit. We learned about the different uses for flour, how yeast impacts the bread baking process, and we experimented with adding different ingredients to bread to change the taste, and how it looks. \r\nWe were able to have an end of unit celebration with our families at which we made bread together. We were able to discuss and share different kinds of bread that we like in our families on our \"Family Friday\" share sessions.
