Thanks to your donation, we received a beautiful rug that has become so much more than just a classroom accessory — it's a dedicated space for reading, discussions, social-emotional learning, and so much more.\r\n\r\nMy students absolutely love the shift in our day when it's time to gather on the carpet for a story or a lesson. One of my favorite moments, beyond our read-alouds, is teaching phonics on the rug. The students are consistently engaged, and they're learning so much; often without even realizing it because they're having such a great time in the process.\r\n\r\nWhen I first unrolled the rug in the classroom, the excitement was immediate. The students were amazed that someone would be so kind as to gift something so beautiful just for our class. They admired every detail and couldn't wait to be invited over to try it out. Their favorite part? Having their own special spot. They light up when they hear, \"Okay, come pick a flower, it's carpet time!\" \r\n\r\nThe rug arrived in time for my class to enjoy it last year, and this year, my class is already making it a meaningful part of their learning. Last year, we focused heavily on social-emotional learning and phonics during our carpet time. This year, phonics remains a big focus, and I'm excited to begin using this space for more class discussions during math – especially for math talks and collaborative problem solving.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create a space that fosters joy, connection, and deep learning. Your kindness continues to bloom in our classroom every day.","fullyFundedDate":1746785696075,"projectUrl":"project/reading-on-the-rug-where-stories-come-t/9254832/","projectTitle":"Reading on the Rug: Where Stories Come to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Acosta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9998510"},{"teacherId":9207675,"projectId":8432181,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well.
