These materials help me bridge learning gaps, and right now we are focusing on phonological awareness. Activities such as counting words in sentences and rhyming have been especially engaging for my students. They were excited to use the beautiful photographs provided, which made the activities more meaningful and fun.\r\n\r\nMy students respond best to hands-on activities, so I am looking forward to exploring the lesson plans that are sequential, interactive, and aligned with the Science of Reading. Since many of my students need a slower pace along with strong visual and kinesthetic supports, the resources are an excellent fit. I will be incorporating them daily, and they will also play an important role in our Friday \"missions,\" which keep the learning motivating and playful for my Secret Agents. My students, who I call \"Secret Agents,\" were thrilled to participate in a special activity that tied together the skills we've been working on in class with the magic of the holiday season.\r\n\r\nSanta himself sent them a letter with an exciting mission: solve a \"mystery\" to locate his sleigh. The adventure began with four wrapped gifts, each containing a task to complete before moving on to the next clue. These tasks included matching or stamping first sounds—skills we've been mastering in class. After completing each challenge, the students eagerly opened the next gift, with the final box containing the word \"Santa\" for them to sound out.\r\n\r\nThis final clue led them to the hallway, where Santa himself was waiting alongside the Chutes and Ladders games! The excitement was off the charts as they tore into their gifts with joy. For many, it was their first time experiencing a game like this, and the delight on their faces was priceless.\r\n\r\nThis gift couldn't have come at a better time. As we begin working on numbers up to 100, this game offers a fun and engaging way to reinforce those concepts at home. It also fosters a meaningful connection between parents and children, which research consistently shows has a positive impact on student learning and development.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I am thrilled to have an extra copy of the game to keep in our classroom. It will not only support my current \"Secret Agents\" but also future students in developing these essential skills in a playful and collaborative environment.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your thoughtful and impactful contribution. Your kindness has made a world of difference in our classroom and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1731532671762,"projectUrl":"project/the-gift-of-games/8900248/","projectTitle":"The Gift of Games","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Enyeart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp112868_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1477507123263","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/112868"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_125849","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":176,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - K","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":76.0,"schoolId":125849,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about L.H.
