Because of you, my students now have access to new books that have already made a powerful impact on their learning, confidence, and love of reading. Your kindness truly turned a wish into a reality for my fourth graders.\r\nWhen the box of books arrived, the excitement in our classroom was immediate and contagious. Students gathered around as we unpacked each title, eagerly flipping through pages and asking when they could start reading. For many of my students, having brand-new books—books chosen specifically with their interests and reading levels in mind—made them feel seen and valued as learners. That moment alone reminded me how meaningful your gift truly is.\r\nThese books have transformed our reading block. Students are more engaged, more motivated, and more willing to challenge themselves. Reluctant readers who once avoided independent reading are now asking for extra time to finish \"just one more chapter.\" My stronger readers are diving deeper into texts that push their thinking, while my struggling readers feel empowered by books they can successfully read and enjoy. The confidence boost has been incredible to witness.\r\nBeyond academics, these books have helped foster a stronger classroom community. Students are recommending titles to one another, sharing favorite characters, and having thoughtful conversations about what they read. Reading has become something they look forward to instead of something they feel pressured by. That shift is invaluable and something that will stay with them far beyond this school year.\r\nMany of my students come from homes where access to books is limited. Because of you, they now have daily exposure to high-quality, engaging literature in a safe and supportive environment. These books are not just classroom materials—they are tools that help students see themselves as readers, learners, and thinkers. You are helping to close gaps, spark curiosity, and build lifelong skills.\r\nYour support has reminded my students that there are people in the world who believe in them and care about their education, even if they have never met. That lesson alone is powerful. On behalf of every child who now eagerly opens a book in our classroom, thank you for investing in their future.\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting difference, and we are so grateful.\r\nWith sincere appreciation,\r\nCourtney Ellis\r\nFourth Grade Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1757603939643,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-the-past-who-was-books-for-yo/9395427/","projectTitle":"Unlocking the Past: Who Was Books for Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ellis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8575093"},{"teacherId":5066584,"projectId":9294064,"letterContent":"My students and I have been loving the new resources! The projector desk has been a game-changer, allowing me to model lessons right from my desk without blocking the board. Students can now see each step clearly, which keeps them more engaged and confident during lessons. The math dominoes were an instant hit—they enjoy using them in small groups to practice math facts while having fun. When the materials first arrived, my students were so excited and immediately curious about the planet models. Even though we haven't painted or built them yet, they're already talking about space and sharing what they know. This spring, we'll bring our solar system project to life by painting and assembling the planets.
