The students in AP Literature and Composition are reading the first novel, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Anthony Doerr has written a novel with a setting in World War II, Paris, France. The author's deft hand allows the interweaving of two stories, one of Marie-Laure and Werner. The students are enjoying the novel and appreciate you thinking of our class.\r\n\r\nThe novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaleo Hosseini allows students to experience the setting of Afghanistan for the past 30 years. It is a story of two generations of characters brought jarringly together by the tragic sweep of war. The students will get a chance to read a novel set in a time that is relevant to today's politics. Your donation has allowed me to extend the novel list of reading for both classes. I am appreciative, and I know the students certainly are.","fullyFundedDate":1740090739364,"projectUrl":"project/we-need-exciting-novels-for-our-exciting/9074603/","projectTitle":"We Need Exciting Novels for Our Exciting Classes","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bennett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9514127"},{"teacherId":9594149,"projectId":9193635,"letterContent":"The technology is helping my students learn by making lessons more interactive, accessible, and personalized. With tools like interactive whiteboards, educational apps, and digital assessments, students are able to receive immediate feedback and engage in activities that cater to their learning styles—whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. It also allows me to track student progress in real time, which helps me adjust instruction based on individual needs. For students who may struggle with traditional methods, technology offers alternative ways to access content and demonstrate understanding, creating a more inclusive and effective learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting aspect of the new products for my students is how it brings learning to life. Whether it's through the white eraser boards, the play doh or those words to make their own sentences students were more eager to participate and retain information when it's delivered in an engaging, tech-enhanced format. Many students especially enjoy being able to use devices collaboratively or independently, giving them a sense of ownership over their learning and allowing them to move at their own pace. This excitement often leads to increased motivation and a more positive attitude toward challenging subjects.\r\n\r\nYes, one student in particular who previously struggled to stay engaged during lessons has truly flourished with the introduction of this white paddle boards, able to write the answer and hold it up without a word being said. With the ability to use headphones and interactive learning apps, they are now more focused and confident in participating. This student especially enjoys using adaptive reading and writing tools that read text aloud or offer guided writing prompts. It has helped them feel more successful and less frustrated, transforming their attitude toward learning and boosting their academic performance. The technology has provided a bridge where traditional methods once created barriers.","fullyFundedDate":1742931516226,"projectUrl":"project/ela-fun/9193635/","projectTitle":"ELA Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. V. The most exciting part; however, about the headphones is that they have truly allowed my students to be more focused on individualized assignments. Many of my students use the headphones daily to listen to music while they are completing assignments to focus, but most times to complete their assignments and they love it! \r\n\r\nAgain, it is truly an honor to know that people like you have made it possible for my students to enjoy learning.
