Pollard High School (LVPHS) Music program. As an alternative/continuation high school, our mission statement/values focuses more on our students be caught up with their credit recovery and be sent back to their contemporary high school as soon as possible. Thus, our elective course opportunities are very limited. As the current LVPHS music teacher, David Lopez, I have been at this school site for the past five years. \r\n\r\nDuring this time, I expanded the LVPHS Music Department as a simple piano class and incorporated Choir, Guitar, and Music Appreciation courses. On top of these course, I provided regular performance opportunities for my proficient musicians to perform in front of their peers during school hours and evening concert to show case either individual musical skills and/or small group ensembles to friends/family/loved ones. While my choir period performs a certain number of choral pieces as any other contemporary high school, our performances are more focused for individual and small group numbers to perform music of their choosing that is high school appropriate. \r\n\r\nYour donations were mostly musical equipment and accessories that our program desperately need more of. As our music program expands, so does the necessary equipment needed to meet the larger student needs to successfully feature our student musician's performance production. Because of your generous donation, our students are one step closer to experience industry-level standards how it feels like to perform their music in front of a live audience.","fullyFundedDate":1750175563771,"projectUrl":"project/lvphs-music-program/9108840/","projectTitle":"LVPHS Music Program","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8159176_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y117&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742921711913","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8159176"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42712","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":527,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":77,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"10 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":70.0,"schoolId":42712,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lee V Pollard High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lee V Pollard High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/corona-norco-unified-school-district/lee-v-pollard-high-school/42712"}
