I can tell that they are so much more encouraged to read because they have books that they are interested in on our shelves. They are so proud to be working through a book series and are making connections from one book to the next, which is so rewarding to see as their teacher! \r\nEach day in our classroom we do a whole group reading time where they get to choose an interest reader and just read! At the end of that book, they complete a book report to hang in our classroom. It allows the students to be proud of the book they read, practice comprehension skills, and helps with text features. Also, students who are unsure of what book to choose can preview the books from the book reports that are in the reading center.
