Teaching five year olds is something new every day! \r\nThe buttons were used to record directions at centers so they remember what to do. \r\nThe extra supplies of glue sticks, PENCILS, and Kleenex help provide materials for community use and for students to who were unable to bring in their own supplies. \r\nFinally, the dry erase markers, play dough, and extra math supplies are used in our phonics and math centers. With the addition of the sensory tools you are helping my students calm their minds and bodies so learning can occur. The floor tiles are a hit! The students love stepping on them and watching the colors move. One of my third graders said, \"It looks like we are going into another dimension.\" With my students who like to fidget the sensory strips are a must. There are three different textures for my students to feel. Lastly, my students with a lot of energy benefit from the elastic bands on the chairs. We practice how to use them without being a distraction. They can get their energy out, but still focus on the lesson. \r\n\r\nStudents, teachers, and myself need to be calm in order to have a conversation. These sensory tools help my students calm down, so then processing and learning can occur.\r\n\r\nI truly do appreciate your help in making a calm atmosphere to help calm a student.","fullyFundedDate":1736001847701,"projectUrl":"project/wanted-sensory-tools-donate-inside/8784079/","projectTitle":"Wanted: Sensory Tools.
