The students were able to use the acrylic paint and create ice cream cones! Some of the students took their rocks home for a flower garden accent and others donated theirs to our school rock garden. It was a sweet project for sure. \r\nThe other project the students were able to make with the card stock was putting their names in a one point perspective project. Many books that are for these young readers tend to be \"boring\" or simple text without a read story. These books do have a real story and real life pictures that students get excited to read. They provide students an opportunity to work on their reading skills in a format that is not too difficult, but at the same time very interesting to them.\r\n\r\nWhen I presented these books to my students they immediately sat at the table and excitedly, grabbed a book. There are many animal books which especially grabbed their attention.
