Your thoughtful contributions of rewards, toys, treats, and other fun surprises have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new treasure box items, their faces lit up with pure joy. Many of them couldn't believe that such exciting rewards were now part of their classroom. One student whispered, \"I've never had something like this before.\" For some of our kids, these little treasures mean more than you can imagine. They represent pride, motivation, and moments of happiness that they may not always experience at home.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the treasure box as a key part of our classroom management and motivation system. Students earn points for positive behavior, academic effort, and acts of kindness, and they can use those points to \"shop\" from the treasure box at the end of the week. It's amazing how something as simple as a new pencil, a small toy, or a treat can boost their confidence and keep them striving toward their goals.\r\n\r\nOne of the most touching moments happened last week when a student chose a small basketball from the treasure box and said, \"I'm giving this to my little brother. He doesn't have many toys.\" That moment reminded me that your gifts go far beyond the classroom walls and out into our students' lives and families.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we're using this positive reinforcement system to help support a new classroom project focused on goal setting and personal responsibility. Students are tracking their own progress and reflecting on their choices, with treasure box rewards helping to celebrate their growth.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students. Your support brings not only smiles but also a sense of being seen, valued, and encouraged.","fullyFundedDate":1747767967899,"projectUrl":"project/rewarding-responsibility-help-fill-my-s/9244275/","projectTitle":"Rewarding Responsibility: Help Fill My Students' Treasure Box!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gagon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-gagon"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32957","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":573,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":68,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.5,"schoolId":32957,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lake View Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lake View Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/box-elder-school-district/lake-view-elementary-school/32957"}
