Students practice key science concepts, review vocabulary, analyze data, and strengthen their critical thinking skills with the workbooks. The posters are displayed throughout the lab and serve as visual references during lessons, helping students make connections to prior learning. \r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They eagerly flipped through the workbooks, pointing out topics they were excited to learn about and asking when they could get to use them. The microscope slides generated the most enthusiasm. Many students had never had the opportunity to use a microscope or observe prepared specimens. \r\nThese resources have helped transform science into an interactive and meaningful experience. Students are more engaged during lessons, participate actively in discussions, and demonstrate greater confidence when explaining scientific concepts. As a bilingual classroom, these books provide opportunities for students to build academic language while developing a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. \r\nReading in my classroom is interactive and student-centered. Students participate in read-alouds, partner reading, literature circles, independent reading, and meaningful discussions about characters, themes, and the author's purpose. The hygiene products have provided essential support for students, particularly young girls, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to focus on learning. These resources have become an important part of helping new students transition successfully into our school community. \r\nMany students have used the dictionaries to look up unfamiliar words and commented on how helpful it was to have a resource they could use independently. Within weeks of using them, students who did not participate in class began raising their hands and engaging more confidently in lessons. \r\nGirls know that if they need support, they can access these items discreetly and without embarrassment.
