The science viewers were a big hit. It opened up conversation to talk about the life cycles of different animals and insects and helped them understand the concept. This topic is in no way apart of our curriculum but seeing the cycles made them curious which was pretty amazing to see. The calendar has allowed me to discuss weather, season, months, year, and days with my students which is amazing because prior to receiving these items I did not have room in my classroom for an age appropriate but engaging calendar. They are able to participate without the extra distraction of getting up because I can bring the calendar to them. I am also fold the calendar up and put it away when it is not in use which allows the classroom to remain a clutter free classroom (thank you for that) but most of all thank you for donating and making this happen for our classroom. Without you, we would not be a step closer to excelling in everything that we do daily.","fullyFundedDate":1724973029263,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-center-activities-for-a-special/8700755/","projectTitle":"Engaging Center Activities for a Special Education Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9320326_orig.jpg?crop=733,733,x46,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718759179111","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9320326"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7917","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":400,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"17.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":58.3,"schoolId":7917,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about L.P.
