We have really loved the addition of all of the amazing literature pieces we have added into our classroom library during each domain of learning. \r\n\r\nWe use such a variety of books in the classrooms and the books that you purchased added so much diversity and IEFA education into our, already diverse and unique, curriculum of books. We currently are using the books that were purchased to emphasize each topic that is in our CKLA Knowledge curriculum. We have already covered a broad variety of topics such as ancient civilizations, Greek Civilizations and Myths, The War of 1812, and now we are covering the cycles of nature. All of these topics are dense and filled with so much information that my students have loved being able to recap information or understand new information about the topic through different books and stories. \r\n\r\nMy students that are struggling readers are appreciating some of the books more so because they are able read along with pictures and have more opportunity to understand the topic. I love seeing their passion for reading grow and improve!\r\nAgain, thank you so much for this opportunity and gift!","fullyFundedDate":1725818438334,"projectUrl":"project/trade-books-for-2nd-graders/8746905/","projectTitle":"Trade Books for 2nd Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gustafson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9734721_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y484&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725660476579","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9734721"},{"teacherId":9785722,"projectId":8844371,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for your generous donation to my Kindergarten classroom. Your kindness has made a big difference in our learning environment and has helped me ensure that my students have the tools they need to succeed. \r\n Your support has helped me create a more engaging and effective space for my students to explore, learn and grow. The Alphabet Soup Sorters and Alphabet dough mats have been a fun way for the students to practice creating letters and sorting them by sounds. The decodable reader sets have been a big hit. We've been working on blending words and these books are just what we needed to build their reading confidence. The students have really enjoyed showing our parent volunteers how well they can read. The Find & Write CVC words and numbers activity has been a lot of fun. They love getting to dig through the beads to find and identify the words and numbers. The Pop and Learn Letters and Numbers game has been great for our small group activities. The students are able to play this on their own and engage with one another. We also began a new reading curriculum this year and the trade books you donated have gone great with our knowledge and skills lessons. It has been fun reading new stories in our classroom this year.\r\n It is donors like you that truly make a positive impact on the lives of children. It was amazing to watch them dive into the activities with so much enthusiasm and creativity. The hands-on experiences sparked their curiosity, and they had such a great time experimenting, building, and exploring new ideas.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the comfy reading pillows were a huge hit! The students were excited to settle down with their favorite books in such a cozy, inviting space. It truly created an environment that encouraged both learning and relaxation.
