Although we ran out of time this school year to use the butterfly habitat, we did have the opportunity to use many of the other STEM items! We planted four o'clock flowers with our incredible plant pot kits. The students planted their seeds and have them at home to work with their families to support their flowers! We used some of the slides to explore more science on a microscopic level as well as played with some of the PE equipment that got purchased. As I set up my classroom next year I can't wait to use the new paper cutter, lamination sheets, and rolling drying rack. These items are staples to a productive and organized classroom environment!","fullyFundedDate":1746630490189,"projectUrl":"project/flutter-high-grow-big-preschoolers-st/9213380/","projectTitle":"Flutter High & Grow Big Preschoolers: STEAM Project","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Nathaniel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4375451_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743642835569","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4375451"},{"teacherId":9028863,"projectId":8867369,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation to support my classroom. Your contribution has made a meaningful impact on my students' education, and I can't express how much it means to us.\r\n\r\nWith your help, we've been able to introduce new resources like Magna-Tiles, Play-Doh, and other hands-on materials to support our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning. These tools have already had such a positive effect in our classroom. One of the highlights so far was a building challenge where students used the Magna-Tiles to design their own structures. Their creativity and problem-solving skills soared as they worked together to bring their ideas to life. It was incredible to see them so engaged and excited about learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with joy. Many of them had never used Magna-Tiles or Play-Doh in the classroom before, and the excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to get started, and it's been wonderful to watch their enthusiasm grow as they explore new ways to learn and create.\r\n\r\nYour donation is giving these students the opportunity to learn in a way that is both fun and educational, and for that, we are so grateful. Thank you for believing in the power of education and for investing in the future of these amazing young learners.","fullyFundedDate":1738779603270,"projectUrl":"project/makerspace-in-the-library/8867369/","projectTitle":"Makerspace in the Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hussein","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9028863_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755689930570","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9028863"},{"teacherId":9312326,"projectId":8774628,"letterContent":"Over the past couple of months my class has really enjoyed our new library. We now have 30 minutes independent reading time in advisory and once finishing their work early during their ELA blocks students run to the library to grab a book to silently read. We recently did our quarterly reading assessments which we did see a slight rise in reading levels. I'm also noticing a rise in comprehension in our daily work. All of this is from simple practice. Students that would groan when told to grab a book before now have favorite books that they've read multiple times since we've got them.
