Your contribution helps expand our collection of the very popular Who Was book series. This collection of books you have helped provide is a very valuable asset to our school library shelves. \r\nReading teachers here at our school love helping me, the school librarian, show our students new titles that they will enjoy reading. Not only do our reading teachers enjoy these new titles for our students, but so do our ELA teachers. In a collaborative effort between our library, reading and ELA teachers, we have come up with a very unique learning opportunity for our students. We have created a living history unit, where students select a book of interest to them from the who was series, read the book and then write a report. The students then create a display about their book and dress up as the main character/event. All the students and their projects are on display as a type of living history museum and the other students in our school visit the museum and learn about these characters and events. It has been a huge hit the past several years. \r\nNone of these wonderful activities and new additions to our school library would be available to our students without generous donations like yours.
