We now have a fully functional yoga/meditation/mindfulness room for the students to use! My class is going weekly and are learning how yo manage our emotions through movement and breathing. They see themselves as true yogis and have begun to share their knowledge with their friends and families. \r\nOur next steps are to expand the room to more classrooms in the school and then eventually have yoga events with our whole community! Even little things, like having fresh erasers and new pencils, has made a big impact on students' ability to focus on their learning instead of worrying about basic supplies. For example, having the handheld sharpeners at every desk eliminates all those extra transitions which interrupt learning and can add up.\r\nWe have been using the math dice and multiplication pop-its daily to bring fun into our math learning.
