At first, they might have seemed like small items, but they had a huge impact. Students no longer worried about not having something as simple as a pencil to complete their work, which boosted their confidence and kept the focus on learning. The dry erase markers allowed us to make our math lessons more interactive, with students eagerly coming up to the board to solve problems. Even the tissues played a role in keeping kids comfortable and healthy during allergy season.\r\n\r\nWhat stood out most was how these \"small\" items created a big sense of security in our classroom. Students knew their needs would be met, and that gave them the freedom to participate more fully and feel proud of their work. The supplies became tools not just for learning, but also for building community and responsibility.","fullyFundedDate":1694435913441,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-supplies/7421914/","projectTitle":"Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Andrade","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9069668_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720479661908","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9069668"},{"teacherId":5559068,"projectId":8789700,"letterContent":"Words can't truly express how grateful I am for your donation to our classroom. Your generosity in providing tissues and Clorox wipes has made such a difference in ensuring we had a healthy and happy school year. These essential supplies are often overlooked, but they play a crucial role in keeping our students safe and focused on learning. This cold and flu seasons, I was able to provide the students with enough tissue the entire season. I also have to add, I was able to wipe down my table after every lesson, which I attribute to a fairly mild cold and flu season in my groups. I also have enough tissue to carry us through the allergy season. Having these resources readily available allows us to have uninterrupted lessons because the students just get up and get what they need when they needed it. \r\n\r\nBeyond the practical support, I was absolutely thrilled to receive the magnetic business cards. I was able to make teaching and learning more interactive with these cards. They actually serve as the magnets I use to hang anchor charts, vocabulary words or visuals, and also make interactive activities students use during learning. \r\n\r\nYour donation goes beyond just materials; it's an investment in the well-being and engagement of my students. You've provided us with the tools to stay healthy and learn in a dynamic, hands-on way.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. It's been a whirlwind of a year, packed with learning, growth, and some truly amazing students. \r\n\r\n This year, we have blended a strong phonics program alongside our existing reading curriculum. Though it initially relied heavily on leveled readers, I've now effectively incorporated decodable readers into our small group instruction. The students are responding enthusiastically, enjoying both the skill development and the diverse stories both these decodable and leveled readers provide.\r\n\r\n Thanks to your kindness, my students are experiencing the joy of reading success.","fullyFundedDate":1716650897370,"projectUrl":"project/no-more-struggling-readers/8340040/","projectTitle":"No More Struggling Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Contreras","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5559068"},{"teacherId":9070525,"projectId":8689518,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the generous donation of headphones to my classroom at Kendrick Elementary. Your contribution has made a remarkable difference in the learning environment and has significantly benefited my students.\r\n\r\nPrior to receiving the headphones, we faced challenges in providing individualized learning experiences, particularly in areas requiring focused listening. Many students struggled to concentrate amidst the general classroom noise, hindering their ability to fully engage with audio resources, online lessons, and interactive learning programs.\r\n\r\nSince the headphones arrived, I've observed a tangible improvement in student engagement and academic performance. Here are some of the key impacts we've seen:\r\n\r\nIncreased Focus and Concentration: Students are now able to block out distractions and immerse themselves in their learning materials. This has been especially beneficial for students with attention challenges and those who require a quiet learning environment.\r\n\r\nEnhanced Individualized Learning: The headphones allow students to work at their own pace with audio-based lessons, language learning programs, and educational podcasts. This has enabled me to provide differentiated instruction that meets the unique needs of each student.\r\n\r\nImproved Comprehension: When students can clearly hear audio instructions and content, their comprehension significantly improves. This is particularly noticeable in subjects like language arts and foreign languages.\r\n\r\nGreater Access to Technology: The headphones have unlocked the full potential of our classroom technology. Students can now fully utilize online learning platforms, interactive apps, and educational videos without disrupting their classmates.\r\n\r\nBoosted Student Confidence: Students who were previously hesitant to participate in activities involving audio are now more confident and engaged. They feel empowered to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided my students with invaluable tools that are fostering a love of learning and enabling them to reach their full potential. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to education and for making a tangible difference in the lives of our students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your thoughtful donation.","fullyFundedDate":1733250961728,"projectUrl":"project/a-sound-investment-in-education/8689518/","projectTitle":"A Sound Investment in Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Murphy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9070525_orig.jpg?crop=878,878,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689883811860","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9070525"},{"teacherId":6719880,"projectId":7444265,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to my Pre-K class!
