Thanks to your support, we were able to bring in snacks and resources that have helped create a joyful and welcoming classroom environment—especially during our recent potluck celebration.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snacks, their faces lit up with pure excitement. Many of them immediately started talking about their favorites and asking if they could help set up. It turned into a beautiful learning moment about sharing, community, and celebrating together. One student proudly said, \"This is the best day ever!\"—and that joy was made possible because of you.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the new resources to support our daily routines. Whether during small-group activities, center time, or social-emotional lessons, these snacks help us build classroom community, teach responsibility, and provide a sense of comfort and belonging.","fullyFundedDate":1758636677411,"projectUrl":"project/prek-need-snacks-to-fuel-their-growing-b/9728407/","projectTitle":"PreK Need Snacks to Fuel Their Growing Bodies and Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Danyely Checo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6471433_orig.png?crop=323,323,x0,y16&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747846659578","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6471433"},{"teacherId":8723344,"projectId":9765930,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the testing dividers and classroom bell! My students were thrilled when they saw the boxes arrive — they couldn't believe we finally had dividers in our classroom too. Since we're a dual language program, they had noticed that the Spanish teacher already had dividers, and they were so excited to say, \"Now we have them too!\" These dividers have made a huge difference in creating a calm, focused environment where every student can do their best work independently.\r\n\r\nThe classroom bell has also become one of our favorite new tools. It helps signal transitions, capture attention, and celebrate moments of success. The sound of the bell has brought both structure and joy to our daily routines, and students instantly know it's time to focus or come together as a team.\r\n\r\nA special thank-you to Ripple for matching donations and helping bring this project to life. The moment we sat down together for the first time, one student smiled and said, \"This is so soft and comfy — my body can stay still on this!\" That simple comment showed how this carpet helps my students feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has transformed our learning space into a warm, welcoming environment where every child has a special spot to sit and feel included. They couldn't wait to explore the ten frames, number bonds, and counters that had been added to our math center. These tools have made math time more interactive and hands-on, helping students visualize numbers, addition, and subtraction in ways that pencil and paper alone can't provide.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came when a student proudly said, \"We don't have to draw the ten frame anymore!\" He explained that sometimes he would accidentally draw eight boxes instead of ten, but now he can focus on solving problems instead of worrying about the setup. That little comment perfectly captured how these materials are building both confidence and accuracy in our math lessons.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to practice math concepts in a fun and meaningful way. We've been using the ten frames and number bonds to explore number relationships, and students are beginning to explain their thinking with much more clarity. During a recent lesson, we gathered on the rug for a math activity, and students were excited to work together, share ideas, and explore concepts hands-on. The Mobile Whiteboard has been a game-changer for teaching and student engagement. It allows us to easily demonstrate lessons, work through problems as a class, and display student work. Students were thrilled when they first saw the new whiteboard—it immediately became a favorite tool for learning and sharing ideas.\r\n\r\nThese resources have made our classroom more inviting, interactive, and dynamic. Next, we will continue using the rug and whiteboard for lessons in literacy, math, and collaborative projects, helping students develop critical thinking, communication, and social skills in a hands-on, engaging environment.
