The items you helped provide have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom. The scientific calculators are being used almost daily, especially during our construction math lessons. Many of my students do not have access to reliable calculators at home, so having a full classroom set has taken away the stress of sharing or doing without. The new wired mice have also been a big help during our digital estimating and management activities. Having enough working mice for everyone makes our computer work smoother and keeps students from falling behind.\r\n\r\nThe students were especially excited about the large digital wall clocks and the colorful turn-in trays. Clear time displays help them manage pacing during hands-on projects, and the trays bring structure to turning in assignments, plans, and take-off sheets. The calculator organizer has also helped us keep our equipment in good condition. Students know exactly where to store and check out calculators, and it has made the start and end of class far more efficient.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who often struggle with organization have already warmed up to the new systems in our room. With calculators easy to access, computers easier to use, and the room more structured, they are finding it easier to stay on task and take responsibility for their work. Your generosity has helped create a smoother, more efficient classroom, and my students feel the difference each day. Thank you again for believing in their success and supporting the work we do.","fullyFundedDate":1755962336342,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-power-math-and-technology-skill/9595967/","projectTitle":"Tools to Power Math and Technology Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Clayton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10177267_orig.jpg?crop=1152,1152,x259,y103&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755721993905","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10177267"},{"teacherId":6602552,"projectId":9536357,"letterContent":"The three mobile whiteboards and charging stations have fundamentally shifted our business classes from a typical classroom environment to a dynamic workshop. The whiteboards immediately got students on their feet, moving away from screens to brainstorm, collaborate, and map solutions like real professionals during our \"Start-Up Challenge.\" This physical, non-digital collaboration was crucial when one team's digital pitch presentation crashed; instead of panicking, they quickly used a whiteboard to sketch out their key selling points, delivering a pitch with real entrepreneurial agility. Meanwhile, the charging stations have been a quiet but powerful game-changer, eliminating the constant distraction of dead batteries and allowing groups to maintain focus and momentum during deep work sessions.\r\n\r\nThe student reaction was immediate and exciting; they viewed the whiteboards not as school supplies, but as professional tools that signaled a serious change in our class structure. They were visibly energized, recognizing that the room now truly feels like the \"startup space\" we aimed for—an environment where movement and high-stakes collaboration are the norm, replacing compliance with genuine, hands-on engagement. We are currently moving the Start-Up Challenge into the market validation phase. Teams will continue to use the whiteboards as central data visualization tools, organizing customer interviews, comparing feedback, and quickly iterating on their designs before finalizing their long-term business strategies. Thank you for powering this shift to real-world, dynamic learning!","fullyFundedDate":1755714946472,"projectUrl":"project/powering-up-collaboration-whiteboards-a/9536357/","projectTitle":"Powering Up Collaboration: Whiteboards and Charging Stations for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kammerman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6602552_orig.jpg?crop=400,400,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704759533692","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6602552"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108904","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":500,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":25,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"11 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.3,"schoolId":108904,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jordan Academy Technical Career South on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jordan Academy Technical Career South","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/jordan-school-district/jordan-academy-for-technology-and-careers-south/108904"}
