After my initial donation request, I was promoted to an Reading Intervention Specialist and now, I can say that this project is going to reach even MORE friends! As an intervention specialist working with Kindergarten through 5th grade, I work with students who need a little extra help and confidence in reading, and these new supplies have made a tremendous difference in their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe new resources have given my students engaging, hands-on opportunities to practice key reading skills in a way that feels fun and motivating. I am able to create intervention games and readers for not only my stuents, but for teachers that I support as well. These materials have helped them strengthen their fluency, vocabulary, and overall understanding of text. I have already noticed that they are reading more confidently and eagerly participating in small-group lessons.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most about these new materials is the interactive nature of the activities. The moment they walk into our intervention room, their faces light up because they know they'll get to learn through activities that are both challenging and fun.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students (and other teachers) the chance to experience reading in a new and exciting way. Your generosity has created a positive ripple effect — improving not only their academic skills but also their confidence and love for learning.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt appreciation,\r\nFelicia Chavez-Aguirre\r\nReading Intervention Specialist","fullyFundedDate":1748138447935,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-for-the-fresh-new-yea/9198400/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies for the FRESH New Year!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Felicia Chavez-Aguirre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2000251_orig.jpg?crop=1944,1944,x648,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1554871186694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2000251"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16983","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":721,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.3,"schoolId":16983,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John R Good Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John R Good Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/irving-independent-school-district/john-r-good-elementary-school/16983"}
