When I receive an unexpected new student, I am able to immediately print and copy materials so they can participate in class activities right away instead of simply observing. I can also print resources needed for meetings or send home materials that help families support their child's learning and close academic gaps.\r\n\r\nThe printer has also become an effective incentive for the class. When students have a particularly good day, I can print coloring pages or extension activities for early finishers, which keeps them engaged and motivated.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, having a printer in the classroom saves valuable instructional time. Previously, I had to send print jobs to the office and wait for a student to retrieve them, which often delayed lessons. Now, I can quickly make copies myself and keep instruction moving smoothly.\r\n\r\nOverall, having access to a classroom printer has greatly improved efficiency, enriched student learning, and made classroom management easier for both myself and my students.","fullyFundedDate":1759369038509,"projectUrl":"project/printer-for-the-classroom/9762495/","projectTitle":"Printer for the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blanchard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8386816_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1648001055455","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8386816"},{"teacherId":9969689,"projectId":9227879,"letterContent":"The students and I have already started using the rhythm sticks and next week we will start to use the boomwhackers. Our schools old boomwhackers are in bad shape and testing these new ones on Monday is going to be a joy. When we begin our unit we on Melody and pitch students will be performing contemporary pop songs; this really increases student engagement. Music is not for every student but when we play contemporary songs as a class using boomwhackers the entire class is engaged.\r\nThe students were impressed with how new everything looked and smelled. We were able to do a guided discovery between the old and the new and the students seemed to want take care of the new instruments.\r\nI look forward to spending many fun Thursday and Friday afternoons playing contemporary songs with the students.","fullyFundedDate":1745827240575,"projectUrl":"project/replace-old-rhythm-band-instruments/9227879/","projectTitle":"Replace Old Rhythm Band Instruments","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Blinco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9969689"},{"teacherId":9969689,"projectId":9174872,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating the recorders to my students.\r\nAll 3rd grade music students are required to play the recorder in the district. Gifted students' brains are neurologically wired to think more deeply and move at a faster pace, and these materials will help provide that enrichment for them. \r\n\r\nThe books are especially important because many of my students often don't have engaging literature experiences. In my role, I have the instructional freedom to teach students the JOY of reading, not just the science behind it, while still supporting district and state reading standards. \r\n\r\nThe 3D printer is allowing me to introduce STEM concepts to students as young as second grade. They will be designing bubble wands to test how different shaped wands affect each bubble. From grades 2-6, only their imagination limits what they can do with the printer. \r\n\r\nI'd like to send a specific shout out to Young Sheldon! My students are excited to create more 3D designs, at a higher complexity level. Because this machine prints so much faster, we can produce at higher rate, including customized rewards for classes who've met specific reading and math goals. In addition, we can incorporate the engineering design process by testing our prints and making modifications and improvements.","fullyFundedDate":1731503448557,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printers-for-3d-printing-pupils/8932409/","projectTitle":"3D Printers for 3D-Printing Pupils!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ahlman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9826363_orig.jpg?crop=1563,1563,x0,y652&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731354303784","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-ahlman"},{"teacherId":8361275,"projectId":8503401,"letterContent":"My students and I are so grateful for the new resources, our \"Chill Zone\", which has become an essential part of our classroom. When my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They immediately understood that this space was designed just for them—a place where they could take a break, manage their emotions, and feel supported. \r\nThe \"Chill Zone\" has transformed the way we navigate emotional challenges in the classroom. Students now know they have a safe space to reset and refocus when they're feeling overwhelmed. They are learning to recognize their feelings, use the tools provided, and return to learning with a positive mindset. It's been incredible to watch them develop healthy strategies for managing their emotions, which will benefit them far beyond the classroom. \r\nOur next steps include integrating more lessons on emotional regulation and mindfulness, helping students build their \"toolbox\" of skills for managing stress and challenges. The \"Chill Zone\" is not just a physical space; it's a reminder to my students that their feelings matter and that they are capable of overcoming difficulties with support and practice. \r\nTo our amazing donors, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this possible.
