The students love being able to relocate and ask all the time \"can I sit in a gaming chair?\" The wipes also help with keeping our classroom desks and surfaces sanitized as we've already had multiple rounds of flu/colds in our class. The students come in knowing we keep it clean because we wipe things down daily.\r\n\r\nWe take notes and annotate the texts regularly, so it's rewarding to see the students already go to and head for the highlighters. They've gotten better at learning how to identify key information instead of highlighting literally everything on the page. In our Montessori classroom, we must have a plethora of options for seating. It is very imperative that I allow my students the opportunity to choose how they work whether it be sitting at tables or on rugs on the floor. Montessori's quote perfectly describes how essential movement is \"Movement helps the development of the mind, and this finds renewed expression in further movement and activity. It follows that we are dealing with a cycle, because mind and movement are parts of the same entity.\" (Montessori, 1995, p.142). Movement often gets interpreted as only being muscles of the body instead it includes all systems such as the brain and senses. \r\n\r\nWith your support, I was able to intentionally outfit my classroom to meet the developmental needs of the child and to foster continued growth. That is why I wanted to express my utmost gratitude for your donations. My students and I have been so eager to use our \"happy face\" carpet during small group instruction. The carpet fits perfectly for our Math Area. The bean bag chair has been such a hit that sometimes my students have to be reminded about sharing amongst one another. Since I have observed that everyone wants to use the bean bag chair I have planned to create another project to get at least three to four more chairs. If that project is funded then our classroom could have a little nook space for DEAR (drop everything and read). \r\n\r\nFinally thank you for believing in the work that I do with my students and at JHMS.
