Because of your generosity, my classroom has been transformed into a cozy, welcoming space where students feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn. The new materials have made such a positive difference, and I can already see how much more engaged my students are in their learning environment.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest highlights is the flexible seating. My students LOVE having options for where they can read, practice math, or work on group projects. Whether they are curled up with a book, sitting together to solve problems, or finding a quiet spot to focus, the seating choices make learning feel natural and enjoyable. Our classroom now feels more like home, and that comfort is encouraging students to take more ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students and investing in their success. Your kindness and generosity are helping them grow both academically and personally. We are truly grateful for your support, and I cannot wait to continue sharing the incredible impact these resources are making each and every day.","fullyFundedDate":1755803458679,"projectUrl":"project/a-warm-welcome-for-every-child-every-da/9601074/","projectTitle":"A Warm Welcome for Every Child, Every Day!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dickinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10179698_orig.png?crop=112,112,x0,y32&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755273478869","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10179698"},{"teacherId":1449314,"projectId":9209890,"letterContent":"Our elementary students are ready to party in our gymnasium. Since throwing and catching is the basis for many games and activities throughout the year, it is to be expected that they would get worn out but some new sets were way overdue. \r\n The kids were very excited to see me open the Amazon boxes full of new balls. Students love the larger balls for games like, Ga Ga Ball and Fishy Fishy Cross My Ocean. Smaller balls are great for teaching the skills of underhand and overhand throwing. As I began blowing them all up during field day week, the kids wouldn't stop talking about them and how excited they were to try them out. It was quite a sight to see having all of these inflatable characters lined up on the stage. The dragon and the bull were fan favorites.\r\n On field day, students and staff could be heard laughing and cheering as students, and some teachers, bounced on the animals down to the finish line. Students were pumped to try all the different characters. The inflatables were a great addition to our field day stations. My young learners often need many more opportunities for self regulation than students in a typical classroom. The resources in this project, that you have helped to provide, make those opportunities more readily available and more successful. \r\nMy students love the new sloth Hugimal and the big soft pillow is also a huge hit. The new carpet is the perfect size for stretching out to rest or just lay down to collect thoughts or practice self regulation strategies. The divider helps to provide privacy and allow focus to self regulate. \r\nThe calming corner is an essential resource in my classroom, and your generosity has made it a reality in our new school this year. Each student was able to see the growth of the chick inside the shell using the candling lights. I created numerous resources for the students to explore highlighting the chicken life cycle and how to care for their own flock. I worked with the school librarian to create a chicken information/activity area in the library that the students could interact with. \r\n\r\nPrior to the chicks hatching, I worked with the 5th grade classes exploring the different breeds that may hatch from the eggs we incubated. I was fortunate enough to have 2 hatcheries donate 1 dozen eggs each. I purchased another 10 dozen to fufill the adoption requests. Students worked in pairs to research the possible breeds that could hatch. Once the chicks had hatched students in all classes worked in small groups to decide which breed they thought the chick was.\r\n\r\nFamilies were given the opportunity to adopt the hatched chicks. The interest in adopting the chicks was incredible! There were 18 families that adopted the 125 hatched chicks. There was an excellent variety of breeds for the students to see and be introduced to. This project allowed for the students to learn about the life cycle of a chicken, tend and care for a living thing, develop an understanding that not all chickens hatch as fluffy yellow chicks, and gain knowlwedge on how to start a flock of their own in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1730396789960,"projectUrl":"project/fausey-hatches-chicks/8900184/","projectTitle":"Fausey Hatches Chicks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Doyle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9814416"},{"teacherId":1449314,"projectId":8927999,"letterContent":"My students love the new resources that you kindly donated to us. They loved how the blocks looked like Minecraft. They built a ton of structures and enjoyed knocking them down afterwards and laying on top of them. The magnet boards are also super engaging. One of my students added using a magnet board to his bouncing on a yoga ball/jamming out to music routine.\r\n I knew these materials would be exciting for my students.
